Privacy Policy

Rowsnap collects no personal data. The app has no account system, makes no network requests of its own, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Its App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”, and that is meant literally.

What happens to your photographs

Pages are recognised on your device, using Apple's Vision framework.
The photograph itself is discarded as soon as recognition finishes. It is never written to our storage and never transmitted.
What is kept is the recognised text and one small thumbnail, saved in the app's private storage so you can close a scan and come back to it later.
Deleting a scan in the app deletes that data. Deleting the app removes all of it.

What is stored on your device

Your spreadsheets — recognised text, sheet names and a thumbnail, in the app's Application Support directory.
Your settings, such as whether the library is shown as a list or a grid.
A count of free exports used, kept in the device Keychain so it is not reset by reinstalling. It is a number. It is not linked to you or to any identifier.

None of this leaves the device. There is no server to send it to.

Network access

The app makes no network requests. The only network activity associated with Rowsnap is Apple's own — the App Store handling a subscription purchase or restore. That exchange is between you and Apple; we never see your payment details, and Apple tells us only whether a subscription is active.

Files you export

When you export a spreadsheet, iOS hands it to whatever destination you choose — Files, Mail, another app. Where it goes after that is governed by that destination's own privacy policy, not ours.

Children

Rowsnap is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new use of data.
